Coca’s; by 1935) kind of very, very mild food allergies were factored in, there was no specifying what kind of sugars were consumed (e.g., dextrose, glucose, etc. or potentially uric acid elevating fructose/HFCS, minimally), there was no indication if any of the foods were adulterated with FDA approved common allergen soy and/or neurotoxic added MSG, minimally, and there was no indication if any of the women with a median age of 39 were postmenopausal and/or on hormone replacement therapy, or not, with estrogen being protective against uric acid, which can be either an oxidant or an antioxidant (https://www.mdpi.com/2072-6643/11/9/2111).

As a now eighty year old male who still ingests allegedly inordinate amounts of mostly pseudo-sugar almost daily with no obvious harmful effects beyond a possible chronic high serum uric acid level, what a grandiose exercise in futility, probably intended by the funders to covertly promote a vegan diet while blaming non-specific “sugar” for the harm that undiagnosed food allergies to animal proteins aggravated with FDA approved food poisonings cause. Anecdotally, I never chose for HFCS to be substituted for the safer pure cane sugar of my more naturally sweetened youth; never!
