This is a ploy of dishonest medical researches who have a specific goal in mind. For example, disproving Vitamin C for colds. Numerous studies done 40 years ago showed that Vitamin C was as effective against colds as a placebo. But the headlines were something like “Vitamin C no better than a fake pill”. Ha! It IS effective against colds and the takeaway is clear: Vit C is cheap, buy Vit C and take it for your cold. One in three or four will receive benefit from Vit C.
